Effective Meetings

In our day to day life we keep meetings people for our work in both ways formal and informal .
But after giving your quality time in meeting  have you think once whatever you wants from meeting is done ??  Most of the times the meetings takes place with either no agenda and no result also .

Mostly in professional or career point of view meetings based for information sharing and problem solving , Training ,Operational .

First of all when you are conducting meeting as a leader ,your subordinates will evaluate creditability ,competence intelligence and general personality by way you conduct meetings .

You need to know purpose of meeting .You have to asked yourself ,If meeting perfectly worked out what would be the result ?? 

For scheduling the meeting with multiple people  also make one template and give 2-3 comfortable days and time .

Consider meeting as your personal or company investment it means valuable use of time to ensure max return on investment 

Please remember following few points while conducting meeting and for good results 

1.Always prepare written agenda & provide copy to each participant .It's better to send them one day (24/48 Hours )  before by mail as well so everyone will be mentally ready . 

2.Begin with one sentence description of purpose or objective of meeting. 

3. Absolutely clear about what you want to accomplish and how you going to do same .

4. Opening of meeting sets foundation established the parameters ,organize terms of reference .

5. Be the facilator.

6. Summarise at end each discussion point set out & restate your time ,Action schedules ,your implementation plans and assignments 

7. Distribute the minutes of meetings within 24 Hours .

8. In problem solving meeting cleary define the problem on whiteboard of meeting .

9. Reasons of ineffective meeting mostly are 
.• Starting the meeting Late 
•  Losing control of meeting 
• Failing to reach conclusion 
• Lack of Group Participation 
• Lack of follow up
